This timepiece is in excellent condition 9.9 out of 10. It was kept in rotation among other high-end luxury timepieces, and cared for dearly. Only worn a few times.
This is truly a horological gem. When the Ulysse Nardin Freak first made its debut 2001 it blew the minds of watch enthusiasts worldwide. A true feat of horological engineering and design to create a work of art that broke the mold.
The center carrousel (not to be confused with a Tourbillon) acts as an aesthetically pleasing focal point, and also as the minute hand. The dual escapements at the base of the carrousel are peppered with different colors.
Functionally the winding of the movement (UN 205) and setting of the timepiece are insanely cool all their own. The movement is wound from the back side with a special tool, and the time is set by lifting the “Freak” trigger below 6 o’clock and turning the bezel. The carousel is able to move independent of the other functions which is amazing.
In titanium and signature UN blue, this piece is absolutely stunning. Unlike its predecessor the Ulysse Nardin Blue Cruiser, this model is water proof to 30M, and comes on a sail cloth strap.
The package comes with the watch, hardwood collectors box set, outer shipping box, outer cardboard UN box, winding tool, booklets, and warranty card.
